Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is available as an optional add-on to SmarterMail and is associated to a specific SmarterMail license key at the time of purchase. Customers that are interested in testing the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync add-on before purchasing it may do so by activating a 30-day trial within SmarterMail. NOTE: The trial may only be activated once.
NOTE: If you are running SmarterMail with IIS, you will need to change your IIS configuration settings before you can add Exchange ActiveSync to specific mailboxes. For more information, refer to the KB article Configure IIS for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. For information on configuring mailboxes to synchronize email, calendars, tasks, and notes using the Exchange ActiveSync technology, please refer to the KB article Configure Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for Email Accounts.
Follow these steps to activate the 30-day trial for the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync add-on:
- Log in as the system administrator.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Click Licensing from the menu on the left.
- Click the Start Trial button on the Microsoft Activesync card to to open the trial details dialog. (If the button is greyed out and says No Trial Available, that means that you've already had a 30 day trial or the server is licensed to use EAS.)
- Click OK to begin the trial.
