Installing .net 8

Silly question. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

What do we download and install here on Windows Server 2019 x64, to run .net 8. There are many variations.

The VM is just running SmarterMail.

We have the asp runtimes and the regular (non desktop) runtime installed. Though the asp.net one may not be required since IIS uses ARR.

Thank you echo, now the question remains is the ASP.NET Core Runtime is required.

I setup a test server, everything worked fine without me installing the asp.net runtime.
