Old sub domain webmail addresses not working.
Problem reported by YS Tech - 12/31/2023 at 7:26 AM

I used to have many webmail addresses for the relevant clients but after upgrading to 8762, e.g.
etc.
None of these now work, I just receive an error:
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

Details:

HTTP Error 500.50 - URL Rewrite Module Error.

The server variable "HTTP_X_Forwarded_Host" is not allowed to be set. Add the server variable name to the allowed server variable list.

Do I need to do something different with the new version?
I've tried creating a subdomain in IIS of e.g. webmail.firstclient.com and binding it to the SM MRS folder.
How do you now setup the subdomains for each client?
Thanks

Thanks Patrick, i've been through the ARR setup in the readme file and I still have the issue.
Looks to be something to do with the rewrite module not being allowed to be set, is there a setting somewhere that needs to be set to allow this?

Did you follow the entire readme file? This part in particular?

On the right side, choose "View Server Variables"

Add the following:

- HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR
- HTTP_X_FORWARDED_HOST
- HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PREFIX
- HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO

All other configuration comes from the web.config file and will be automatic

Aha, so those settings need to be set for all of the domains that I need to use, not just the master one?
Thanks Patrick.
