Accidentally selected an existing site - how to recover

Hi, all.

I accidentally selected an existing site when installing SmarterStats. I've since uninstalled.

My site now reports a 404 error. What do I need to do?

Best way is recover from Backup, I think...

Recover what, exactly? Surely not the entire server... The original site content is all still present, it doesn't look like anything was overwritten.

I assume an IIS configuration change is necessary but I don't know what.

This is resolved.

During SmarterStats installation, the physical path of the site config is changed to point to the SmarterStats directory. Changing it back to the appropriate directory has restored the site functionality.

Hi Brian!

I meant to recover from backup your IIS configuration, not the entire server ...
But if you then understood where to change it to correct the configuration even better, I'm happy that you solved it!

See you next time!
