Is there a way to paste preformatted text that was copied to the clipboard into the live chat window and not have it ignore CTRL-LF?

I've tried even adding HTML <br /> at the end of each line and it just jumbles the info into one line for the customer.

We're trying to paste product registration in the form of

asdasd: asdasd

But they only get:

 

When pasting a canned response, it's fine.  But I don't want to have to create a canned response every time I want to paste something
