Add Translatable Strings to Portal Welcome Text
Idea shared by Yannick Guerdat - 8/22/2016 at 5:43 AM
Proposed
Hi there,

I was wondering how to add a translation in a brand for the followings elements :
  • Main Portal Announcement
  • Additional Footer for Portal
I found a solution for the 2 below elements via the translation action but not on the previous 2.
  • Department Selection Message for Live Chats
  • Department Selection Message for Tickets
Thanks for your help because without this possibility I don't see any possibility to use multiple languages inner a single brand.

Hello Yannick.  Right now the Main Portal Announcement and Additional Footer for Portal don't support translatable strings due to the fact that they can have HTML imbedded in them.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello Rod,

Thanks for your e-mail. Is it any work around to fix this situation ?

It's like the e-mails they are only in one language actually.

Maybe in the USA the multi languages is not a need but it is really important to be 100% translatable in the Europe.

Yannick, I have changed your thread from a Question to an Idea, in order to facilitate tracking on this feature suggestion. Thank you!

Unfortunately I don't know of a good work around for this, Yannick, other than perhaps sectioning off the main portal announcement to include text for each translation.
