Capture YouTube Link Referrals

Completed
My Shopping Cart Website Utilizes SmartStats 10.2. What I see missing is any indication users being directed to my site by YouTube Video Pages. I know for a fact Users have found their way to my site by way of YouTube Video Pages, & it would be nice to actually see how many & when. I use YouTube as a form of getting product exposed to the market place. I would appreciate a developer let me know if there's anything I could do on my end, or look into seeing why the referral function is not working for YouTube pages.

Hey Richy!

This report is actually already available in SmarterStats. Log into SmarterStats to view your reports. Click on the Site Activity icon on the left and then expand the Referrals folder in the navigation pane. The two reports of interest are Referring Sites and Referring Links.

Referring Sites shows you the domain name or IP address that referred a visitor to your site, while Referring Links shows you the referring full URL, including any query strings that may be available. Both display in descending order, based on the number of times the site or URL was the referrer. When viewing these reports, keep in mind that you may need to adjust the number of rows the report displays to find the Youtube referrers.

Hope this helps!
