Spamfoo wild cards

When I have a rule that has example.com all emails are flagged in spamfoo from example.com

When emails arrive from bounce.example.com they are not flagged as spam but goes through.

So I have to make two rules to flag the entire domain. One is example.com and the 2nd is *.example.com

I cant get both to work in a single rule. And that is quite annoying.....

I brought this up to the SpamFoo guys and this is designed behavior. That said, they are looking at alternatives -- it's just a matter of finding one that appeals to all situations and everyone's understanding of what "*.example.com" actually covers. Some think a wildcard is just for subdomains while others feel the root should be covered as well when a wildcard is used.

it would be great if one rule could handle both so you could define both like: "example.com, *.example.com"

That way we could eliminate 50% of the administrative tasks handling rules in Spamfoo.

Brian, did you try "*example.com" instead of "*.example.com"?

Without the "." between the "*" and "example"...

Of course, this will also include all the "somethingexample.com" domains...

No i didnt... I will try that.

EDIT. You cant do that. It wont accept the syntax in the rule.
