SM Web Interface - Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Editor
Problem reported by Douglas Brantley - 10/14/2022 at 4:51 PM
Submitted
SmarterMail Enterprise Build 8251 (Aug 4, 2022)

When using SM Web Interface in Microsoft Edge and composing an email message, the Microsoft Editor makes a suggestion for a spelling correction. When you decide to invoke the new spelling of the word, instead of just replacing the word, the entire line is removed and replaced with the new word.

Microsoft Editor Finds the Misspelled word:
This is a sentence in the SM Web Interface with a word misteak.

After Microsoft Editor suggests correction and you invoke the fix:
  mistake

Hey Douglas,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I just tested this and I was unable to replicate it.
Please make sure that you're on the latest version of windows and edge. Please also try this using the private browser mode to try and weed out any potential settings that could be causing this.
Does this issue happen anywhere else on the web?

Same here, it works as expected on Edge, build 106.0.1370.42.

Hey Douglas,

Thanks for reaching out are you right-clicking or left-clicking to correct the word? We did some more testing with this yesterday and we found that if you left-click a word to correct. It will insert the corrected word into the old word. Is that the same issue that you're having?
