Subscribe to SmarterMail Calendar from Gmail?
Question asked by Jay Dubb - 6/6/2022 at 7:55 AM
Answered
We have clients who use Gmail and want to subscribe to their SmarterMail calendar from inside the Gmail interface.  (view SmarterMail calendar from inside Gmail)

Gmail has the ability to subscribe to external calendars, but won't accept the Webcal Sharable Link that SmarterMail generates, and if they plug in the CalDav link of the SmarterMail calendar, nothing ever populates into Gmail... nor does the Gmail interface ever prompt for credentials to read the CalDav link.

Is this even possible to do, and if so, how?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. Doing this is quite simple.
All you need todo is the following.
  1. In SmarterMail click your calendar.
  2. Check allow others to subcribe to this calendar
  3. Then copy the webcal link and save the settings

  4. Next in Google Calendars click the plus then click from URL
  5. After this modify the URL from webcals: for https:// or http:// depending on your setup so it should look like  this.

After this add the calendar and it should work.

Please let me know if this helps.

Kind Regards,
