Microsoft Edge
Problem reported by Mark Milton - 9/6/2017 at 1:52 AM
Not A Problem
Not sure if its a bug but when first login to email using Edge it wont allow past the allow notification stage.
Notifications have been allowed but wont go past. Once logged in using different browser it does and notifications then show on Edge.

Noticed this on 4 different clients machines this morning

I`ve noticed the same in Vivaldi, but only when using in in Private browsing mode - in normal mode it works OK. Maybe it`s a problem that it cannot set a cookie or something?

Still issue is still there. Some clients cant get past setting up the recovery email and some don't get past allowing notifications. They allow notifications and nothing happens. If they then swap to chrome do the setup and back to edge they get access.

What version? I am not seeing this with SM 16 build 6551 and my local Edge installation.

We have tried setting notifications to No and Yes on half a dozen new accounts locally and remote without issue. We are testing on machines with the Windows 10 Fall update.  This may be related to something wrong with previous versions of Windows. Fall update is running Edge 41.16299.15.0.

I have had this issue since I made the post in September so unless the Windows update has fixed it but it will still be a issue before the update

If you are able to replicate the issue, I would recommend opening a support ticket so we can observe the behavior and gather more information directly. If it is found to be a bug, the ticket would be refunded.
