You have exceeded the user limit for this license.

Resolved
Followed the instructions in the knowledge base to upgrade from SmarterMail version 12 to 14.  Since then if any of my domain admins try to add a new user it says "You have exceeded the user limit for this license."   However in the license it says Enterprise version 1600/2000 users in use.

Re-activate your SmarterMail key, and that should take care of the problem

Thank you, I tried that and it said "Your license limits have been refreshed" or something to that effect but the issue still persists.

Did you refresh or activate? Go online to the SmarterTools licensing portal, verify you have the most recent SmarterMail key for yor product, enter the new key, as if it was a new activation, and see if that clears the problem. If not, open a ticket with support.

What was the solution? We have an Enterprise License and we can't create more than 237 users.

Hey Alex. Have you tried activating your key again as well? What happens when you try to add a new user?
