Introducing the new SmarterTools!

The last time we refreshed the SmarterTools website, Windows 7 had just launched, Avatar was breaking box office records and Facebook only had 150 million users. So, it’s been awhile. But when we do things, we go BIG, so the new website will be the start of the new SmarterTools!

Check it out! https://www.smartertools.com/

The site was developed using the latest Web technologies and we focused on a modern, streamlined design that works well across all browsers. We’ve simplified the language, cleaned up the shopping experience and improved the performance on both desktop and mobile.

But the new website isn’t the only thing we’re excited about…

We will soon be moving SmarterTrack Hosted Helpdesk into the SmarterTools.com website, and will no longer be using the separate site, SmarterTrack.com. The reason for this is pretty simple: We have new services coming to market, and they’ll all be be part of the SmarterTools.com website.

SmarterMail, SmarterTrack and SmarterStats also have exciting changes coming their way, with two major versions planned before mid-2016! The first version releases of the year will focus on new additions and functionality, along with standard feature enhancements and bug fixes. In the major releases after that, you’ll find dramatically redesigned product interfaces! These versions will utilize the latest technologies to create a single interface for both desktop and mobile browsers, allowing for full functionality across all platforms. Over the next couple months, and before the BETA releases, we will be providing glimpses of the changes here n the Community, and we look forward to the discussions!

We are also working closely with customers to improve our Account Management and licensing systems so that all your products and services with SmarterTools are streamlined under one Account. New opportunities for Partners, which will be available mid-2016, are in the works as well.

Although our products are seen as leaders in their respective industries, we are determined to continue reinventing and reinvesting in those products and services to ensure we remain a leader in the future.

Stay tuned... It’s going to be an exciting end to 2015 and a great beginning to 2016!

This is NOT an attack, and not a criticism of SmarterTools design team,  but I am not a fan of overly lengthy pages with backgrounds that contain images.  Having said that, I am a firm believer that a web page should contain as much as possible on the visible page, and NOT require scrolling down.

We prefer to keep it simple, not embed unnecessary graphics and images into business websites.

Adaptable CSS is extremely important as we move forward with SmarterMail.  It's also important with the other two products but we don't want an all-in-one product as we run them on separate servers.

Hey, Bruce. Thanks for weighing in. Our approach to this was to reduce the number of pages while still providing enough content for customers -- exiting and potential -- to get a grasp of each product individually.

And really, this isn't just a shift in how WE are doing things, but more a shift in overall presentation across various industries. Scrolling to read content while not overloading uses with a lot of pages is an overarching theme and the direction many, many companies are taking. That, plus the shift in technologies and the move toward responsive design is something we are going to be utilizing across our products as well as our new website.

I'll take pages over clutter any time. Just my personal opinion.

On my iPhone 5S, when it's vertical the website looks horrible, it has 25% white space to the right. I am using the latest IOS 9.

Hi

Have you stored the old site somewhere public?

There was a lot of information there which is not on the new site.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike. While we don't have the old website publicly available, all of the information displayed on the pages can be found in our Online Help and Knowledge Base documentation. Were you looking for something specific? I can get you the info you need.
