Sync Iphone with and vice versa Smartermail Calendar does it work?

Hi everyone,
We have a customer who wants to synchronize their SmarterMail calendar with the native Calendar app on their iPhone and iPad, essentially keeping it synced.
We are currently running SmarterMail Enterprise Edition, but we do not have EAS, EWS, or MAPI enabled on this specific setup.
Does anyone have a similar configuration running in production? We are looking for the best way to achieve a reliable two-way sync using standard protocols like CalDAV, and would love to hear about your experiences or any potential pitfalls to watch out for.
Bye

We use CalDAV and it seems to work fine.  Adding the account to the iDevice can be a pain but once setup we had no issues.

We issue signed .mobileconfig files for our iDevices to connect - it sets up the IMAP, SMTP, and Contacts/Calendar sync all in one shot.

Hi, Rene

iOS supports WebDAV natively, so as long as WebDAV is enabled for your account, it should just work with SmarterMail.

I just did a quick test on both my iPad and iPhone, and adding calendar entries from either a device or from webmail syncs just fine. The key is, when setting up the account in iOS or iPadOS, you select WebDAV as the account type. Then, your Server URL would be your webmail address with "/webdav" appended at the end.

For example, if you use mail.your-domain.com to log in to webmail, you'd use mail.your-domain.com/webdav as the Server URL for the account. (Users can find this info in their Account settings, on the WebDAV card.) You'll want to make sure you're using an SSL certificate for your webmail domain as well: WebDAV uses the standard SSL port of 443.

Hope that helps.
