First hours with spamfoo and first impressions
So far, I'd only read about spamfoo and had an idea.
There's no consistent documentation.
I set a very low score: 2, because for now I just want to observe.
I thought spamfoo could be enabled for a single domain, but unless I'm missing something, only classification can be enabled on a domain-by-domain basis.
Reading all the messages posted on the spamfoo community isn't a good solution. Much of the information is out of date.
I looked at the general spamfoo dashboard, but I couldn't find a domain administrator or individual user dashboard.
In posts here, people were complaining that the content of messages couldn't be seen on the dashboard, but in this version you can see it, so that's a great thing.
What immediately caught my eye in the dashboard was spamfoo-dashboard/senders under the IP tab.
It's important to carefully evaluate domains and emails, given the possibility of sender spoofing. However, if an IP has 100% spam, I think it's worth blacklisting, at least for a period of x days.
A reverse lookup on the IP and the ability to blacklist it via SMTP would be helpful. In addition to clicking, you could see the messages arriving from that IP.
Is it possible to access the spamfoo dashboard via API?
