Migrate forum reference data into KB

Under Consideration
Because the forum has rudimentary search capability, useful data is quickly lost.  It also appears that old data has been pruned and gone forever.    I would like to see a process for promoting important submissions to the KB.   These topics are recommended:

John C. Reid's log analyzer

Sabatino's log analyzer

and a few of mine that I hoped others would find useful:

Using IIS Request Rewrite features to lock down HTTPS sub-protocols

DMARC Report Anlaysis

Understanding SmarterMail Spam Processing logic
(link lost, but I could resubmit from backup)

Optimizing ActiveSync using Registry settings
(link lost, no backup found, so it would have to be recreated)

Interesting idea, Douglas. We'll discuss it a bit. There may be a new Category or something we can do to preserve these types of topics as opposed to making them KBs.

Supplemental thoughts:
It should be like a locked topic or KB article - changes and addendums are only made by ST or the author after ST review.   If you want to discuss the current revision of an article or the toolkit that it describes, open a forum topic.

When selecting topics for inclusion, ST makes the final call on whether the topic is of long-term interest to its community.  You might create a process for authors and others to nominate for inclusion.   I have written several items that I thought were important, but sadly they gathered no interest or negative interest.
