Because of this, we are not touching this build until it's been tried and true by other brave souls :)

I only run a small server and don't use every feature, but so far Build 9581 Enterprise on Linux has been working well for me, and none of my users have reported any issues today. We mostly use MAPI but also a handful of EAS, IMAP/SMTP, and Webmail.

I installed a NEW server (on-premise from a new customer) running Debian 13 with SmarterMail 9581, and so far, everything seems fine.

Of course, since it's new, I don't have much data yet...

As for the existing servers, I'll wait a few more days before upgrading.

Currently manages 6 SmarterMail installations (1 in the cloud for SERSIS which provides services to a few hundred third-party email domains + 5 on-premise for customers who prefer to have their mail server in-house)

Took a chance since I felt what was affected should not cause any issues on my end.  Mostly IMAP clients.  Everything fine for now.  Will post again if any issues.

This is not a version you should be skeptical of.  We kept it small to avoid issues—all of the heavy and complex work was completed in the previous updates.

Do not skip this version.  This is the stable and new baseline build for whats to come!

Hi everyone!
I’ve read in the notes that to install this version, it’s best to upgrade to 9575 first and then update.
Has anyone here upgraded directly from an older version?
Sabatino Replied
I missed this note and I did it directly from 9526. Where was this note? Anyway, I haven't had any problems so far.

"If you are not currently on Build 9575 (March 20, 2026), we recommend upgrading to that version first to confirm everything is functioning as expected. This is because you’ll be able to downgrade to a previous version if you encounter any issues. Once Build 9575 is running smoothly for a few days, you can then proceed with upgrading to this week’s release, Build 9581."

This is part of the e-mail received by SM the 27th of March 😉

We also did the upgrade after everyone said it was doing well. So far, no issues to report. Sitting around ~40G of RAM usage and the CPU is barely doing anything, it's mostly only vacation.

Installed today, crashed on update but I believe that was because my server was doing a windows cumulative patch at the same time, restarted and ran the installer again and it was fine.

Update: Everything running ok APART FROM Spam Check > Custom Rules > These don't seem to be doing anything for me now. Declude is marking the emails as spam but the custom rule(s) I have to deal with them are not doing anything, so i'm getting literally thousands of spam emails / day. I've created another thread on this if anyone else is having the same issue?

Working fine here for 6 days
