How to add to Global Contacts

would like to use the "Global" contact .. as a way to add all the businesses that my company has contact with. End goal would be that all employees know whom to call, as an example, when the credit card processing goes sideways.
As it works right now, there doesn't seem a way to do it.. -OR- do we set up an email contact that "shares" all of their contacts?? In that case Global Address - is not really Global ..maybe should be better names as Internal email list??
Just curious how other companies handle this

This can be achieved with domain level folders. As a domain administrator, go to Domain Settings > Sharing. There, you can create public folders of various types and specify who has access to them.
