I'm perplexed.
I noticed it today and tried to reconstruct it.
I think with the upgrade from 9392 to 9455 last December, I lost the domain events (luckily, there weren't many).
Some events.json files were completely empty.
And even recovering the files from backups and reloading the domain didn't restore the events, so I had to recreate them manually.
For one domain in particular, the events.json file was populated, but the events weren't there.
I had to recreate the events. I compared the old events.json file with the new one and found no differences except for the GUID. Furthermore, if I add events, the old ones aren't deleted; they remain in the JSON even if they aren't displayed and aren't active.
Then I cleaned the JSON manually.
What bothers me is not finding occurrences in the error logs.
I would have expected to find a parsing error or something else in the JSON file.
