Outbound rounting rules
Idea shared by Sabatino - 10/30/2023 at 1:57 AM
Proposed
I'll try again.
And even if it's not a good idea I would like to understand why from SM.
Many other mail servers have this functionality.

I really miss the Outboud routing rules in SM

Here are some examples:

1) If the recipient is @yahoo.com use the following outbound gateway.

2) if direct sending fails use the following outbound gateway. Or even better, if it fails more than xxx or if it has been queued for delivery for more than xxx time, use the following outbound gateway.
In case no. 2 it would be necessary to have a good report otherwise we don't notice providers blocking us.

3) Many other cases.

In my opinion this is useful to everyone, except the larger ones who already use outbound gateways and set the rules there.

Comment or at least explain to me why it's not a good idea

Thank you

I see that nobody cares.
Maybe it's just my mistake. So I would like to understand why. This seems like such a useful feature to me
