More Complete EWS Support

We have used eM Client exclusively in our office for about two years. We recently started convincing clients to adopt it as well.

Unfortunately, there are a few things which don't seem to work with SmarterMail's EWS implementation. The following issues are present in eM Client. We tested each in Outlook for Mac to be sure the issue wasn't an EWS limitation.

These are listed in order of importance (as we see it, anyway)

  1. Content Filter Rules are not shown in either eM Client or Outlook
  2. Task titles/subjects aren't saved properly when creating new tasks
    • eM Client, the title/subject shows in the list but when viewing on the webmail, it is blank. Updating it on the webmail or in eM Client saves the title properly.
    • Outlook, same behavior as eM Client.
  3. Task tags/categories aren't saved properly when creating new tasks.
    • The problem is the same as titles and eM Client and Outlook behave the same
  4. Global Address List doesn't seem to be available at all in either eM Client or Outlook. A side issue, we also haven't been able to get eM Client to connect to the GAL using CardDAV.
  5. Signatures aren't synchronizing. 
    • eM Client, we see "Synced with EWS (email@address.com)" for each account but the signatures are blank. When editing one of these, we get "Saving signature failed" after clicking the Save button. 
    • Outlook, no signatures are shown.

You will VERY much enjoy our upcoming release!

Also, we are working very close with the great people at emClient and have a lot to share in the near future.
