Imap - server connection is not encrypted

I have a customer switching to Goggle and they are trying to move their email from smartermail.  They are using imap, that is the only option.  They enter the server and credentials and click to continue and get an error saying "The detected server connection is not encrypted".  For the life of me, I can't find what is wrong on my smartermail setup.  What am I missing?

You need a certificate for the port/protocol.
So under settings/bindings/ports you should see the ports and type.
Seelct the IMAP (SSL) and check to see if you have a current working certificate listed.
I would check that first.
