How do I find the GroupID for our SmarterTrack groups

How do I find the GroupID of our Groups in SmarterTrack?  We need this for an API call and I can find is the Group Name, not the GroupID.  Any help would be appreciate.

Hello Donavon, 

To get your Group IDs you can call. (
 https://portal.smartertools.com/Services2/#svcOrganization_GetAllGroups ) The ID is provided in this call with the group name as well.

Thank you Tony for your response.  Our developer tried calling GetAllGroups with an account that is able to login fine to the web portal.  The account has the Administrator role. He gets an "Invalid Permission" error returned.  Any other insight as to how we make this work would be appreciated.

What roles does this user have other then the Administrative Role. I have tried with all the variations I can think of. 


If you would rather not post the details here you can start a ticket and we can do this through a ticket where I can test against your install.

Tony, Here are the permissions we have set for the account we are trying to use.  It is also an agent of the group we are trying to find the ID for and create tickets for.  We have also tried another account with the same roles and are getting the same error.
