I am trying to figure out how to setup shared contacts on the admin user that the entire organization can use with MAPI outlook. Probably need a step by step. Thanks in advance.

I had to set up a fake user and share that account's contacts. The only workaround I know of.

Thanks Seph, was hoping to get a different answer but I guess this may not be the place to get it. If necessary I can use the fake user as you suggested but really thought there would be a way to setup these shared items like calendar and contact through the admin account. Maybe I'm asking the wrong question? Maybe I should ask if there is a way to setup an additional contact folder as can be done with the calendars?

I had this discussion with their staff last week regarding a shared calendar..."at this time, the ability to view a domain-shared calendar is not available. For now, your workaround of creating a user for the domain-level would be the best alternative solution. I'll be escalating this request to the project management team for their review."

And this is an intended feature. As for Contacts, it has to be a shared contacts folder by a MAPI user or the Global Contacts can be viewed by all domain users.

After some great help I was able to share the admin calendar because I could setup an additional calendar (search "Can I create something like an exchange company calendar in SmarteraMail"). Working VERY well now using CalDev with outlook 2013/2010 MAPI connection.

You can share it in Outlook by right-clicking the folder and configure using the Permissions settings or share it from within webmail.
Then follow these steps on the client that wants/needs access to the shared item in Outlook...
