Emails sent via web not showing up in Sent folder

We can send emails using the web interface. But the problem is the emails are not showing up in any of the sent folders.

It appears this user has multiple folders of the kind (might be due to localization?)
- Verzonden items (Sent items in Dutch)
- Sent
- Sent Messages

I don't know why that many folders are created to serve the same purpose. I know the user did not create them by hand. This issue seems to occur for other users as well.

But the main issue is, whenever he sends an email, the email is nowhere to be found again. It does arrive luckily.
