All SmarterMail notifications are empty

SmarterMail Free Edition Build 7242 (Oct 30, 2019)

In the portal, logged in as Admin, I see there are 69 notifications pending.

I click into the notifications:

I click into an individual notification:

That's what all the notifications look like. Just a date and time. They appear at hourly intervals - every hour at 38 minutes past the hour. Any ideas what could be causing this behavior?
