SmarterMail Public BETA
Announcement made by Derek Curtis - 11/21/2019 at 4:43 PM
Locked Employee Post Sticky
We’re extremely excited to announce the long-awaited public BETA of SmarterMail, which includes MAPI integration as well as several new features and performance improvements.  Although MAPI has been in development for multiple years, and is one of the biggest NEW features in this upcoming Build of SmarterMail, the optimizations and improvements we’ve worked on far exceed ANYTHING we have done in the past.  We have taken the fastest mail server on the market and made it 10x faster in many cases.

The BETA is feature complete and we’ll have frequent releases in the coming weeks that include fixes for known issues, fixes for issues that are brought up here in the community as well as issues sent into our customer service teams.  Each Build announcement will include a change log of what’s included with that Build.

Within the next few weeks, we will release a BETA Build that can be used in a production environment. Between now and then, we want to make sure that we find and resolve any unknown bugs that could adversely impact a production server, and that our development team has the time to prioritize these issues and get them resolved.

To ensure YOU have the best experience when SmarterMail goes into production, we suggest that you install these BETAs on test environments, then move over test domains to ensure that migrations to our new file formats and technologies work for your specific set ups.  We will be focused throughout the BETA responding to our customers and working with our customers to ensure anything tested and not working in the BETA will work by the time we release a production-ready Build.

If you were a current BETA participant, you’ll want to re-activate your license with this new install as we’ve recently modified the expiration/renewal date. If you’re interested in BETA testing our MAPI integration, we'll provide the download link within each new BETA Build post, and you can use the trial license key below.

This particular thread is locked and conversations should be started in the main SmarterMail category moving forward. We want this particular thread to be a running list of every Build we release as well as notes on what  has changed so that customers can see the progress and where we are in the release process.
