Sent Items in webmail is empty
Problem reported by Jason Wilhelm - 4/16/2019 at 1:52 PM

Anyone seen an issue with Sent Items in webmail being empty? We just created a user yesterday, they started using the system today and sent 6 emails so far. Looking in Webmail their Sent Items is empty. Did a test email on that account and same issue. Tested on my own account in webmail and the sent mail showed up correctly in Sent Items. Any suggestions?

Hi Jason,

I have a quick question for you.  Did the user send the emails through a POP connection or were they sent through the web interface or another protocol?

Hi Jason,

Another thing you might check is the user's Spam Filtering. You can impersonate their user account and go to Settings > Folder Auto-Clean. Do they have any rules for the Sent Items folder?

Rose/Andrea,
The user just started using the email system today exclusively on webmail, no POP/IMAP. Auto-Clean does not have anything configured.

Are the results the same when you login as the mailbox user directly vs impersonating?

Rose,
Good morning. Yes they are as the user was the one to alert me to the issue. Impersonating shows the same thing.

At this point I will open a ticket with support to get this addressed and will followup with the solution. Thanks.

OK Tony was able to quickly help me on this. Looks like our upgrade to 7016 something happened and the default mailbox size limit was changed to -1092 instead of the normal 3000. This is what caused the error. Thanks Tony!

Hello.
When this email address was connected to email client (eg. Gmail.com, Outlook, etc) in the stage where you enter the email address and password, port number, etc, there should've been an option to 'leave a copy of messages on the server'

I think this is what you're maybe looking for?
unticking that box will not leave a copy of emails in your webmail
