I'm using the native Windows 10 Calendar app which is pretty nice. It takes rich text formatting (or HTML) not sure, but it's nice and not plain text. After saving the new event and looking at it later all formatting is gone. I'm not at the original computer to see how it looks there but it seems SM latest as of this writing is not handling the formatted event notes.
