Can't Create CUSTOM RULES in ANTISPAM - SM 16 Build 7016 (Mar 18, 2019)
Problem reported by Richard Clafton - 3/22/2019 at 12:20 PM
Resolved
Ok,

Not sure how long this has been an issue as I have only just installed SM16 in the last two weeks since a server upgrade.

I don't seem to be able to create a custom rule.  I can type in all the data, click save and then the new rule is NOT visible.

Checked the event logs for errors, nothing.  Checked all the SM System Logs, nothing.

Anywhere I should look!? I can edit existing rules, but just can't create new ones.

I've also exported the rules (JSON) and I do not see the rules in the export.  So it looks like they are not being saved at all.

Richard

Richard, thank you for posting about this issue.  It has been identified, and a fix will be in the next public release build.

A bit out of topic but, Is there a SM16 build 7016, or you're talking about SM 17 / 100?

Just asking because we wish there was s SM16 build with the smtp "related traffic" bug fixed....

Richard, build 7016 is technically our SM 17 framework. The confusion here arises from our move to build numbers instead of version numbers. This is an attempt to simplify the versioning, but can obviously be confusing at first as well. This upgrade is great news though, as you're now running our latest and greatest in bug fixes and improvements. For reference; downloading the latest version of 15/16 is accomplished by visiting the Legacy Downloads section of our downloads page.

Indeed, that was not clear when I built out the new server.   I assumed I was installing the latest version for my licence.

Too late now, i'm vested in this version and have transferred all my domains.
