imap not synchronizing completely

I have a customer where there are 4 clients Outlook 2013 connected to multiple boxes together.

But when one person reads a mail then the mails stays marked as unread with the others.

Or when one person moves the mail to an other folder it stays in the Inbox with the other users.

is this problem known? Or should it normally work.

The mailbox is 20Gb big
