Cannot create or edit contact for another person

I have full access to another person's contact list and have always been able to create and edit their contacts. I am no longer able to do this. If I create a new contact for that person, I hit save and it disappears into thin air. I can't see it, the person I created it for cannot see it. It's gone. If I edit a current contact, the changes do not save for me or the other person. This is very frustrating!!!! Please help!!!! Thank you!
