Smartermail 16.3.6496 Can't delete user

Customer contacted us reporting they couldn't delete an email account, I attempted the same whilst impersonating them and can confirm that i was also unable to delete the email account in Smartermail, it remains in the Accounts list for the tenant. It may be due to them having run out of disk space when they attempted the delete and now the email account is in a stale state, neither active in the system nor unable to be removed, merely visible in the GUI. Is there a technical reference as to how I might remove this entry from the database/flat file configuration without causing issues (ie; any other flags/db tables/files that need to be altered in sympathy with the manual removal).?
