I have an open support ticket but wanted to check if a theory I have is replicated by anyone else in the community.

 

A few of our customers have setup mailing lists with the "List From Address" set as the "Poster Address" as well as the "Allowed Posters" set to "Anyone".

 

For several weeks customers have reported mailing lists which have been dropping subscribers with no warning.and today we figured out that those settings were in common among them.

 

Using a mailing list with those two settings is basically the same as having an alias in terms of functionality - anyone can send to the group of people and the message appears to come from the person who sent it.  But it looks like something is happening with the processing of the message where it bounces the recipients and then after a few bounces removes the subscribers.

 

Has anyone else experienced disappearing subscribers, and if so, do those mailing list settings match?
