Windows Authentication
Question asked by Wade Johnson - 9/11/2017 at 8:16 AM
Answered
I recently installed SmarterStats in our company and thanks for making a great product.

I do have a question though. I have gotten a request to configure the authentication for to use Windows Authentication if possible. Can you let me know if that is possible, and if so, point me to the relevant documentation?

Thanks!
Wade

Hi, Wade. Are you talking about setting up users for Windows Authentication? So they use their Windows account or Active Directory for logins? If so, I'm afraid SmarterStats doesn't support AD/LDAP for user authentication. However, I can add this as a feature request if you like.

Hi Derek!

Thanks for getting back to me to quickly.

Yes. I do think that Windows Authentication/LDAP support is a good idea to put on your roadmap. I would probably put it in the enterprise edition as companies such as the one I work for would pay to have that feature.
