We just completed testing of this. This is 100% browser on the latest 16.2.6442. 

 

If you copy/paste and then click send (no enter) the url in the browser, Outlook, or any of the recipients looks like the one below. If someone clicks on the url all that they get is https://domain/. Completely leaves off the /subPage/ in the url as well.
