15.7.6390 Breaks Shared Calendars on many domains...
Problem reported by Joe Wolf - 7/5/2017 at 4:34 PM
Resolved
After I upgraded from 15.6.6347 to 15.7.6390 several domains got the "There was an issue that caused this page to malfunction." error when trying to open or edit calendar events.

My Error log shows the following (user data redacted and space inserted because forum software won't allow hyperlinks):
[2017.07.05] =======

I tried to reload 15.7.6390 with no luck.  I had to roll back to 15.6.6347 and everything was back to normal.

Hi Joe.  I'm getting the same behavior.  I'll be getting this over to the developers to be fixed ASAP.

Thanks Rod. Another thing I noticed is that 15.7.6390 disabled my Virus Quarantine.

Will a new version of 15.x be released soon? Thanks.

Hello All.  I have a build that will fix this issue.  Please uninstall your current version of SmarterMail 15, and then download and install this version.

That's good news. Are there release notes with this version? Thanks!

Hi Scott. This build only deals with the Shared Calendar appointments throwing an Oops page. This fix will also be included in the next SmarterMail 15 minor, which will contain the release notes.

Is the virus quarantine OK in this release (15.7.6400) as well?  Thanks!

Rod,
We loaded up the custom build early today and started getting complaints soon after. When using webmail to create a new message the screen is improperly formatted.

We had to roll back to 15.6.6347 again to resolve the issue.

Thanks,
-Joe

Joe Wolf, thanks for reporting the new message bug that last hotfix introduced.  It has been fixed with this custom build.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Joe, so the Virus Quarantine was working before the update? What exactly is happening with it?

For me it simply deleted the Virus Quarantine and disabled it. You can re-enable it and start over.

Hi. We applied custom builds, and while it eliminated the "Oops" screen bug from shared calendar items from being opened, users open specific items, and are not allowed to edit. Is this being addressed in any manner, or is there anything we can examine? Thanks.

Can you provide any specific examples of "specific items" that users are unable to edit?

Ok...basically we had that original bug opening items and fatal "oops", applied the 2nd custom build, and resolved that, but if simply click any existing shared calendar, or create a new basic one, with say time and subject, then subsequently open (fine), edit like add to subject line, click SAVE button, dialog box just sits suspended.

We have tried IE and Chrome.

I can get you an account to log into it like, after I share the calendar, and map.

Thanks.

We recently upgraded to 15.7.6390 and just received our first report of this issue.  Please advise on when to expect a build that resolves this issue and doesn't introduce additional issues.

There is a least a build .6400. See one of the custom build links above (would be nice if they were identified in the text or filename). Not sure if it resolves the edit issue.

15.7.6402 was posted by Robert Emmett above on July 12th. It seems to have resolved all the problems for us.

OK thanks. I actually have 6402 in testing now (thought it was 6400).

Please let me know if you find any problems. So far it's working OK for me. No reports of new problems anyway.

This version also fixes a potential with editing existing shared calendar appointments:

This addresses the issue that @Vaughn Reid brought up in a post above.

Wow, having trouble keeping up with all the custom builds. :) Any timetable for a general release so we can see all that's been fixed before installing on a production server? Thanks.

We are tentatively scheduled to release 16.1 this Thursday or Friday. It will include these fixes.

Ok, what about 15.x? We don't want to install the current release due to the issues in this thread. Thanks.
