Better grouping of "main" folders
Idea shared by echoDreamz - 1/18/2017 at 5:57 PM
Completed
Many customers of mine have asked to have the primary folders grouped together in the webmail interface. Much like how outlook keeps the Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items and Deleted Items grouped together instead of mixed in with other folders.

Right now the SmarterMail web interface has the Inbox first, then the other folders are alphabetically mixed in with other custom folders.

We've done this in our 16 Beta.

Took a look at the screenshot and do you think Deleted Items, Drafts, Sent Items, etc. should be listed twice? Shouldn't those folders be removed from the bottom section since they are already grouped in the top? Users will get confused having 2 folders with the same name.

Thanks,
Kevin

AWESOME! Can this be back-ported to v15?

I agree... The top panel should show Inbox, Deleted Items etc. etc. The bottom pane should list only maybe Inbox and any "custom" folders.

This was completed in SmarterMail 16.x and has carried over to the Current Build. All default folders (Inbox, Deleted Items, Drafts, Junk Email, and Sent Items) are listed at the top of the Email navigation pane. Underneath the default folders, custom folders will be listed alphabetically, and any folders that have been shared by other users are listed alphabetically below those.
