Received CardDAV GET response without ETag for .....
Problem reported by Renato Mucciarelli - 7/5/2016 at 2:14 AM

Im using the latest Smartermail Version and using my mobile with CardDAV for syncronisation contacts/calendar.
With the latest Version of this "sync-software" on my mobile (Android 6.01, DAVdroid 1.2) Im receiving this error message:
at.bitfire.dav4android.exception.DavException: Received CardDAV GET response without ETag for
h**p://**.***.ch/WebDAV/ab/e423bea8-3942-4043-855f-7180dd75e9e0.vcf

Is there something I have missed in the configuration of Smartermail or is this a "know bug"?

thanks a lot

I was able to successfully sync calendars and contacts with no problems. I checked their forums and there seems to have been someone a couple months ago reporting the same issue. This may be difficult to solve without a ticket. I can still look at the contacts info. If you can privately send me the AddressBook.xml file for that user via the forum private messaging I can give it a quick look to see if there are any issues.

Thanks for your reply and help. This error occured after I have edited an account on my mobile. The funny thing is that it was written to the server but after that it complains now with this msg.

the error msg is pointing to the last entry in the addressbook.xml.

Can you confirm that Smartermails does send this Etag? Sometime I have it now also for calendar syncs.

does nobody else have this error ......if activesync would be not so expensive for my little homeserver I would switch to activesync ;-)
