We are hosting several domains on SmarterMail v15.0.5949. We also have several users in different domains using Exchange Web Services and/or ActiveSync. One specific client is trying to use emClient 6 from her desktop to connect using the Exchange setup option. It sets up but then gets this error:
[Exchange Web Services] An attempt to connect to email@example.com failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings....."
In the Log of emClient we see these errors:
2:50:38 PM firstname.lastname@example.org [Exchange Web Services] MailExceptions.ConnectionException: Couldn't get server version.
2:50:38 PM at MailClient.Protocols.Exchange.ExchangeFolderSynchronizer.GetExchangeVersion(WorkerStatus s, CancellationToken c)
2:50:38 PM at MailClient.Protocols.Exchange.ExchangeGenericCommand.Execute(WorkerStatus status)
2:50:38 PM at MailClient.Commands.Command.Process(WorkerStatus status)
At the same time in the same emClient software there is another domain that works flawlessly going to the same server.
Can someone help me to troubleshoot this problem? Does something need to be setup in DNS for the server to be identified correctly?
