Activesync - Not syncing Deleted emails

Overall Activesyc works well with the latest version of Outlook, however (randomly) it doesn't sync every email from the Deleted Items folder after it is deleted. I sometimes have to go onto SmarterMail to find an email in the Trash folder.
Is this a known bug?
