Calendar Sharing Outlook 365 for Mac

I have a question concerning Office 365 for Mac and Calendar sharing.  We added Exchange Web Services for the very purpose of being able to use calendar sharing, and some of our clients (including ourselves) need to share our calendars with each other.  Every time I try to set up permissions for another user from Smarter mail to share my calendar or to see their calendar that they have shared with me in smarter mail Outlook crashes. 
 
I can see their calendars on the smarter mail system just not when using Outlook.  I know there was a long ongoing discussion https://portal.smartertools.com/community/a703/new-microsoft-outlook-for-mac-from-office365.aspx  but for me it isn't clear if it will work or not. Can you please elaborate if the calendar sharing is working or not and if it is working what are the step by steps to make it work.
