The information you are seeing in your SMTP logs is pulled from the SMTP BANNER settings in SmarterMail.
This is NOT automatically updated when you update SmarterMail.
The #HostName# should be left in so the rDNS works properly with your hosted accounts.
The #TimeUTC# should be left in place to ensure that you are always using a standard time reference, no matter where a message is sent to, or arrives from.
The rest of the field is freeform, and we always update both our own SmarterMail, as well as the SmarterMail clients for whom we provide maintenance services, with the most recent SmarterMail version. This helps us with any troubleshooting issues which might present themselves as we can go back and see if an issue was introduced by, or resolved by, a newer or older build of SmarterMail.
