Broken links not actually broken

I'm ruecently upgraded from SmarterTrack 9.5.x to Enterprise Version 11.0.5640.26313 and was excited to see the "Broken Links" category under "Alerts".

It doesn't seem quite accurate as the majority of the links being reported as "broken" are, in fact, not broken. For me, this limits the usefulness of what would otherwise be a great tool.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello James,
Try to go to Knowledge base are in the management interface, Click on Actions -> Rescan all for broken links. if they still show up, can you give me an example of one of your KB's or just a link that it says is broken so that I can re-create the issue?

Hello,
SmarterTrack makes a request to the link to ensure it exists. With opera.com it seems MaximumAutomaticRedirections is being hit (which is set to 10).

I went to http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html (this page allows a minimum of 5 redirects before it stops and shows you the redirects working).

Reported as broken link.

There is only one redirect as a jsessionid is issued.

EDIT: I figured out that this is a redirect to a SSL URL! This is probably related to
portal.smartertools.com/community/a1254/ssl-urls-from-knowledge-articles-are-being-marked-as-broken-by-smartertrack-10_x.aspx

Has this issue been fixed ? I went to the KB and rescanned all my links and it still says they are broken, however, they are not. All documents pop up appropriately. Any ideas on how to fix the Alerts button ?
