Best Practices for Multilingual Knowledge Bases?

We are about to upgrade from SmarterTrack 9 to SmarterTrack 11. Our current knowledge base has a  hierarchical structure with a category for each language and then subcategories on different topics.
Since the folder tree is no longer available in SmarterTrack 11, we'd like to ask other SmarterTrack users to recommend any "best practices" they know of for multilingual categories. Are there any options for including translations of category headings? Or is there no other alternative than to use an English-language category heading?
