Language invariant and partial search in SmarterTrack (Knowledge Base)
Idea shared by Webio - 10/24/2014 at 12:42 AM
Under Consideration
Hello,

can SmarterTrack devs can consider adding language invariant search (especially when searching knowledge base articles)? This is mostly needed for non-english SmarterTrack users (for example "error" in polish means "błąd" but many users will search "blad" and this word will not return any search result in SmarterTrack).

Second idea is to add possibility of partial/wildcard search (with for example "*" at the end of a partial word entered in search form).

Regards

Partial word / wildcard searches is something we've discussed so I'll mark this as "Under Consideration" for the time being until a more final response can be added.

When we can expect to have final response? There was also another suggestion about language invariant search. Any chance for that? I can't change users habits since they've already used to this kind of searching when in almost every place they can use word blad instead o błąd (error in english) or haslo instead of hasło (password in english) and they are getting results correctly. Actually I don't remember any site (except SmarterTrack product) which is not returning results for both "haslo" and "hasło" keyword (again password in english).
