SmarterTrack - too many pop-up windows

There are too many windows that open for each support ticket in Smartertrack. Can this be streamlined?
 
When I "take" a ticket, a window opens, then I click "reply" and yet another Window opens.  None of these windows close automatically when I reply and so misc browser windows get left open on my system and at the end of the day I might have 10-20 windows open that I have to go through and close.
