I would like the ability to Quote other members on this new Community Communication Tool.

I would like a "Quote" button to be added to the previous people reply, so we can quickly addresses a posters concern, without other readers being confused to post you are replying too.

Yea, we know this is one that needs to be in there.  We have a lot of new features we want to add to the community and the highest votes get done first.  How would you anticipate quotes being implemented?

Float right the div next to the "Report Abuse" and have a link that says "quote" Which clicked the users text appears in "quotes in a different shade to help offset it.

I thought that the comments would eliminate the need for quotes? You can comment directly on a post so there's no confusion who you are talking to.

The problem what comments is that you don't have a rich editor..  Suppose you have 5 comments, and you want to reply to comment #2, how do you do that?

Yeah I see your point...

These comment boxes seem less and less valuable as time goes on.

I say we remove the comments boxes and add the quote option.

Comments are bulky and confusing. The ability to quote, in a reply, with an active link back to the original poster's dialogue makes muck more sense and is supported by every other interactive system in existance.
