I can't sign up for a free account

so according to this:  http://www.smartertools.com/smartermail/pricing.aspx
you can sign up for a free account.  the chart indicates you must select enterprise.

so I go here: https://www.smartertools.com/purchase/add-product.aspx?
select 'SmarterMail Enterprise Edition'

and... there is nothing that indicates "free" on the next page.  in fact, the minimum seems to be 250 Mailboxes!

so.. where or how exactly do i sign up for a free account?  :(

To get the free edition you can go here: http://smartertools.com/free-editions.aspx but this is to be installed on a Windows server and is limited to 1 domain and 10 email accounts.

Sorry about the confusion! The reason you see the free edition listed under the Enterprise section is because the free edition offers almost all of the same features as the Enterprise edition. The only limitation is that the paid add-ons are not available so some functionality cannot be used. On the pricing chart, if you click on the "FREE" text, the link will take you to the Free SmarterTools Software page. This is where you can input your name and email address and select the product you want. You would then get an email containing more information and a SmarterMail download link.

SmarterMail installs as the free edition. It does not turn into a paid installation until you activate a Professional or Enterprise license. During the setup wizard there is a section that allows you to enter a license key. If you skip that section you can continue setting up as normal. The free edition allows you to use up to 1 domain and 10 mailboxes.

For your convenience, here is the SmarterMail 13.x Download Link. You can install this on your Windows server and follow the Getting Started document for help with your setup.

I hope this helps!
