I was able to replicate the scenario that you described.  I am changing this thread from question to an idea and add to our feature request list for further consideration.  The calendar event has the list of contacts that were invited to the event.  By forwarding this message with more information (the when, where, and what, for example), still would not "invite" the forwardee to the event.  What are your ideas on this?
